The impact of being plastic free

Did you know that only 9% of the plastic ever made has been recycled? Even scarier, most of the plastic in circulation in the world can't be recycled and of the 260 million tons of plastic the world produces each year, about 10 % ends up in the Ocean and landfills. An estimate calculated that by 2050 there will be 850-950 million tonnes of ocean plastic vs total fish stocks of 812-899 million tonnes. If we don't act now, plastics will outweigh fish in our oceans by 2050! Yikes!!

Furthermore, a study  found out that the carbon footprint of liquid toiletries is 25% larger than in bar form on a per-wash basis. Liquid products also need 5 times more energy to produce and can use 20 times more packaging. All of this makes liquid products heavier and less efficient to transport from the factory to your shower.

How can we all help?
